Standards
I am active in standards development for the telecommunications industry as a whole, and for Multiple System Operators (MSOs-- cable operators) in particular. My past experience includes standards work with the IEEE, IETF, and the Cable Labs DOCSIS and Packet Cable standards. More recently I have been involved with the syncrhonization of efforts between the IEEE, ITU-T, and SCTE in the area of PON standards. I have been presenting at meetings and coordinating between operators, vendors, and the standards organizations.
In addition to my active work below I also follow the development of some recommendations and standards from 3GPP, 1394TA, and ITU-T.
